The amount of positive feedback we received for the new Toro chair at our launch event was a tremendous delight for us. Now, Toro is available in several different color and material options.
Mobel is participating in this year’s Helsinki Design Week Design Market event, which will take place at the Cable Factory on September 9-10, from 11 am to 6 pm. Prototype furniture and other products from our collection will be available for viewing and purchase on-site.

New ownership to develop Mobel
Over the years, Mobel’s furniture has found its way into spaces where high-quality architecture meets functional utility. The design furniture designed by Jouko Järvisalo and Pentti Hakala will now be produced by the new company, Mobel Studio Oy.
Following a recent business transaction, Mobel has gained new owners and new contributors. Jussi Aine, a seasoned influencer in the furniture industry, and Erkki Lähteenmäki, who was previously involved with Mobel in the early 2000s, bring their expertise and contribute to the development of Mobel’s business. Also joining as shareholders are brothers Olli and Tommi Haavisto, who grew up with Mobel furniture as their father served as the company’s CEO in the early 2000s. The accomplished brothers will focus on advancing Mobel’s operational activities and marketing. Jouko Järvisalo will continue as the company’s chief designer and artistic director.
Mobel’s collection has been born from the fusion of the designer’s artistic vision with top-notch, refined technical execution. The same principle will continue to guide Mobel’s product development in the future. Mobel’s range offers numerous options for furnishing auditoriums, concert halls, meeting spaces, and educational facilities. The latest results of product development will be unveiled during the current year.
