Mobel to furnish the newly renovated Finlandia Hall

Mobel Studio Oy has signed a contract to furnish Finlandia Hall, one of Finland's most iconic buildings, designed by the renowned architect Alvar Aalto. According to the contract, Mobel will refurbish Nippu tables, originally delivered in 2011. In addition to the refurbishment, the contract also includes the provision of new Tapo tables with foldable legs, and bar tables for conferencing purposes.

Finlandia Hall serves as a symbol of Finnish identity and operates as a popular venue for meetings, celebrations, and concerts in Helsinki. Completed in 1971, every detail of Finlandia Hall reflects Aalto's visionary design. In 2011, Finlandia Hall underwent an expansion that introduced new exhibition and meeting facilities, during which Mobel supplied 500 units of Nippu tables to facilitate the versatile use of these spaces. Today, 13 years after the initial delivery, Mobel has committed to refurbishing the Nippu tables to extend the lifecycle and ensure their continued performance. This initiative demonstrates Mobel's dedication to sustainability and the principles of the circular economy, emphasizing longevity through durable products.

“We are excited to contribute to one of the most significant renovation projects in Finland. This project not only highlights the durability of our Nippu products but also reinforces Mobel’s commitment to circular solutions,” says Maisa Haavisto, Commercial Director.

Mobel Studio Oy operates at the forefront of sustainability and the circular economy, continually striving to create innovative solutions that meet the needs of today while preserving resources for future generations.
